Youth Art Enrichment – Call for Instructors
November 7 – 10, 2012
Application deadline: Friday, August 3, 2012
KIAC is seeking instructors for its annual Youth Art Enrichment Program, which
will be held in Dawson City, Yukon from November 7 – November 10. We are
seeking four instructors who will each instruct a group of twelve students for the
duration of the program. Instructors are paid $35.00 an hour for class time,
preparation, the final exhibition, and clean up – a total of 38 hours. A travel
subsidy, meals and accommodation for out-of-town instructors are also provided.
The goal of the Youth Art Enrichment program is to provide Yukon high school
students with an intensive learning experience in one visual art discipline so that
students have the time to develop skills and to learn from professional artists.
Examples of previous Youth Art Enrichment courses include: Photography, Carving, Film Animation, Mixed Media, Drawing, and Printmaking.
