Youth Programs Coordinator/Instructor

The Coordinator/Instructor works under the direction of the Programs Coordinator, subject to the authority of the Executive Director, to organize and instruct KIAC’s 6-week Summer Youth Art Camp and to plan youth activities for the Yukon Riverside Arts Festival.

The successful candidate must be a student or youth as defined by the Yukon Summer Career Placement Program.

Interested candidates should have some post-seconadary education, experience instructing youth, a background in art and excellent communication skills. For the detailed job description, please contact Karen at kdubois[at]

Duration: 13 weeks, 35 hours a week from May 27th to August 23rd

Wage: $15 an hour

The Dawson City Arts Society (DCAS) is a non-profit, volunteer based organization with a mandate to promote the arts. The society employs administrative, programming and management staff to operate the Odd Fellows Hall, as a centre for development and delivery of arts-related programming. The challenging and rewarding nature of the work requires individuals who are mature, energetic, organized, self-motivated and able to work cooperatively in a dynamic arts and cultural environment.
